INCLUDE A BEQUEST IN YOUR WILL

Establishing a Will is arguably one of the most important things you can do for yourself and your family. Not only can a Will legally protect your spouse, children, and assets, it can also spell out exactly how you would like things handled after you have passed on.

A bequest enables you to support, or continue supporting, the animals in Bali after passing. It becomes part of your legacy.

There are essentially five (5) main types of bequests:

PECUNIARY – This may be for any amount (but inflation over the years will reduce its eventual value) and refers to a fixed sum of money as per your instructions.

SPECIFIC – This may be for particular items such as; jewelry, investments or a property.

RESIDUARY – This is a portion of the estate’s value and the amount is calculated after other bequests have been made.

LIFE INTEREST – This gift may be an asset (e.g. a property), that is set aside on Trust. Therefore your loved ones benefit from the asset during their lifetime. When they die, the gift then passes to the charity.

CONDITIONAL – The gift is made to a loved one on condition that if they die first or within a certain length of time, it passes instead to the charity.

SOME GENEROUS SOULS HAVE ALREADY LEFT A BEQUEST TO BARC AND HERE WE SHARE A LITTLE MORE OF THEIR STORIES:

ROB FOSDICK

ONGOING DONATIONS FROM HIS ESTATE

Rob was an animal lover with a particular passion for the welfare of dogs in Asian countries such as Thailand.

His wife has invested money from his estate and gifts BARC with a regular monthly donation.

We say thank you, to both Rob and his wife, for their generous offering that continues to support the work we do.

ANNA FRANK

A LARGE ESTATE BEQUEST

Anna was an animal lover and long-time friend of Linda Buller (founder and pack leader) with a particular passion for the welfare of dogs in Bali.

She left a substantial bequest to BARC with a request that the money be put towards buying land so that the un-adoptable dogs of Bali would have a safe place to live. This money covered half of the cost of buying the land at Tabanan which is now Warriors Legacy – Bali’s first & only rescued animal sanctuary.

Anna, your legacy lives on through this animal sanctuary – a safe haven for many un-adoptable dogs!

MADDI COLE

MONTHLY MEMORY DONATIONS

Maddi Cole was a lovely young lady who did lots of foster care for BARC dogs and puppies.

Her mother Jill Cole donated a regular monthly sum for many years to BARC. This money was used to pay wages of two local staff. They were responsible for developing the education program and promoting BARC in the Balinese and Indonesian media.

A huge thank you to both Maddi and Jill for their devotion to improving the situation for dogs here in Bali.

An example of the wording to be included in your Will for a bequest to BARC:

I give free of all duties and charges the sum of $______  (your amount must be written in both numbers and words) and provide to:
Bali Adoption Rehabilitation Centre (B.A.R.C.)
Jl Raya Pengosekan,
Lodtunduh Ubud
Indonesia 80571

This Bequest is to be used for the betterment of life for the animals in the care of the Bali Adoption Rehabilitation Centre (B.A.R.C.)

WE ARE ETERNALLY

GRATEFUL FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
